• Choose the level that best matches your skills! We trust participants to select the level that aligns with their abilities. Depending on registrations and how levels balance out, we may offer auditions to help adjust placements if needed. Additionally, if your instructor believes a level adjustment is necessary during the classes, they may suggest a change. We kindly ask you to follow their guidance, as our priority is to create the best possible learning experience for everyone.

Please note that all levels are welcome to participate in Jack & Jill competitions. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Social

For dancers focused on fun, learning, and social connection, without WSDC points. This level applies to workshops, but all participants can compete in Jack & Jill.

Level 2 – Dance Explorer

You’ve been dancing for 2 years or less, and your basics are becoming solid and confident — with a few variations in your pocket too. You’ve taken plenty of regular classes and workshops, and maybe you’ve even tried some national or international events.

This level is for dancers who want to strengthen their fundamentals, learn new figures, and feel more comfortable dancing with different partners on any social floor.

Requirement: Danced for 2 years or less.

Level 3 – Groove Builder

You’ve been dancing for more than 2 years and feel comfortable dancing with partners of any level. Technique and pattern variations come naturally, and you move with ease through different musical styles and tempos.

If you already compete in the Novice division — even without points yet — this is your spot. You’re now focused on refining your style and deepening your musicality, interpreting not just the beats but all the accents and nuances.

Requirement: Danced for more than 2 years.

WSDC Points Division

For dancers who have already competed in WSDC divisions and earned points in the official circuit. This distinction applies only to workshops.

Level 4 – Pattern Master

This level is for competitors refining their patterns, technique, and musicality. You’ll explore new variations and focus on improving your performance in a competitive context.

Requirement: Minimum of 1 point in Novice up to 8 points in Intermediate.

Level 5 – Connection Artist

You have solid competitive experience and a strong foundation in technique, patterns, and musicality. Workshops at this level will push your dancing further, helping you master advanced figures, connection, styling, and interpretation.

Requirement: Minimum of 8 points in Intermediate up to Advanced division.

Level 6 – All-Star Focus

This level is for top-level competitors. Participants enjoy 2-hour exclusive workshops designed specifically for All-Star dancers, with the option to also join Level 5 classes. Focus on high-level technique, musicality, and performance skills, taking your competitive dancing to the next level.

Requirement: WSDC All-Star division. Competitors with more than 35 Advanced points may also join these classes.
