Daniel Pavlov & Lauren Jones
Lauren and Daniel are a fresh combo in the WCS world, who share a strong passion for West Coast Swing. They strive to both motivate and push students at the same time. Lauren’s professional experience as an educator guarantees smooth delivery, while Daniel’s meticulous approach to concept structure will help answer any questions you may have in class. While competing at a high level, Lauren and Daniel prioritize the social aspect of the dance over the competitive circuit and aim to share the joys of the dance above all else. They are both super excited to visit Lisbon for the second time, spend time with a lovely community and they cannot wait to dance with you!
Lauren Jones: Lauren discovered West Coast Swing in 2011 and later reignited her passion for the dance while living in Singapore, where she immersed herself in the community. Today, she focuses on creating meaningful, fun learning experiences — always aiming to leave every dancer smiling, whether dancing with her or at her.
Daniel Pavlov: Daniel found West Coast Swing in 2013 after exploring various social dances, but WCS stood out for its limitless musicality, creativity, and connection. With more than a decade of teaching experience, he blends insights from martial arts, psychology, music, sports, and parkour to enrich his students’ learning. His goal is to balance efficient growth with light, shared fun.
Daniel trains consistently, teaches worldwide, and competes in the All-Star division. Deeply passionate about WCS, he is endlessly grateful for every opportunity to share the dance with others.
Ardena Gojani
Ardena’s journey with dance began with salsa and took off during two years of ballroom dancing in the USA. Then, in 2010, she discovered West Coast Swing and immediately felt like she’d found her dance “home.” Since then, she’s been on a mission to grow the WCS community in Norway, learning from the best around the world and bringing that knowledge back. She also runs Winter White, a WSDC event for 10 years and Sol Swing since 2019.
With a background in psychology, fitness, and yoga, she brings a unique, well-rounded style to her teaching. But what really excites her is digging deep into the details of WCS—teaching those little details that feel complex and can take a dancer’s skills to the next level. For Ardena, teaching isn’t just about learning moves—it’s about helping people grow and seeing them light up when they find themselves, becoming more confident, more connected to their bodies and to music. When not dancing or teaching, Ardena loves to spend time with her husband and daughter out in nature.
