Everything you need to know to enjoy the most unforgettable West Coast Swing weekend in Lisbon!

How to get to the event venue?

The VIP Executive Santa Iria Hotel is in Santa Iria de Azoia, just a short distance from Lisbon’s city center.

  • From Lisbon Airport (Humberto Delgado Airport):
    The hotel is approximately a 10-minute drive from the airport. You can take a taxi or use a ride-sharing service such as Uber or Bolt. Alternatively, you can take the metro from the airport to “Moscavide” station (second stop), then transfer to the train heading in the direction of “Azambuja” and get off at Santa Iria Station, which is a 10-minute walk from the hotel.

  • By Train:
    The nearest train station is Santa Iria, which is just 10-minute walk from the hotel.

  • By Car:
    If you are driving, you can easily reach the hotel via the A1 or A8 highways, following the signs for Santa Iria de Azoia.

Check-in Info

Check-in opens Thursday from 18:00 at the hotel and continues throughout the weekend.

At the registration desk, you’ll find:

  • Your event wristband and pass info

  • The chance to register or pay for intensives and competitions (cash or card)

  • Buy official LWF T-shirts (prices range from 25€ to 28€, depending on the model)

Workshops & Levels

We have 5 levels at LWF:

  • Level 2 – Social – Danced for 2 years or less.

  • Level 3 – Social – Danced for more than 2 years.

  • Level 4 – WSDC Novice/Intermediate – Minimum of 1 point in Novice up to 8 points in Intermediate.

  • Level 5 – WSDC Intermediate/Advanced – Minimum of 8 points in Intermediate up to Advanced division.

  • Level 6 – WSDC All-Star – All-Star division. Competitors with more than 35 Advanced points may also join these classes.

Each level includes several dedicated workshops throughout the weekend, plus an Open Level Workshop on Friday evening.

To ensure the best possible learning experience for everyone, we kindly ask all participants to attend only the workshops corresponding to their registered level.

Our groups have been carefully balanced according to the number of registrations, and our staff will be checking wristbands before workshops.

Competitions

Lisbon Westie Fest is an official WSDC registered event, featuring a Jack & Jill competition on Saturday afternoon.

💰 Competition fee: 20€

⏰ Competition Registration Desk Hours:

  • Friday: 09:00–11:30 | 15:00–18:30 | 19:45–22:30

  • Saturday: 09:00–11:00 (final registration window)

You can pay for your competition in either of two ways:

  • 💳 Online through Scoring.dance using Stripe

  • 💳💶 At check-in (cash or card)

You’ll get a QR code to show Agata (our scorer) and receive your bib number.

Please make sure you get you bib number before Saturday 11:00 AM

⏱️ During comps:

  • Arrive 15 min early for marshaling

  • Scoring.dance will be used for: Registration, callbacks and results.

Parties

Get ready for 6 unforgettable parties spread across the entire weekend!

1. 🌇 Wednesday – Warm-Up Pre-Pre Party

The perfect way to start the weekend! Meet dancers arriving early, enjoy some social dancing and get into the LWF spirit.

2. 🏨 Thursday – Official Pre-Party

  • 🕗 20:00 – 00:00

  • Free with your LWF pass | 20€ at the door (open to the public!)

The official kick-off of Lisbon Westie Fest! A relaxed evening to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones before the workshops begin.

3. ✨ Friday – Glow or White Party

  • 🕤 21:30 – 04:00

  • Opening night with Pro Show and surprises!

  • More than 6h of dancing in the main ballroom.

  • 🤍 Dress code: White or Neon / Glow

4. 🌺 Saturday – Beach/Hawaiian Party

  • 🕘 21:00 – 04:00

  • 🌴 Hawaiian & beach vibes

  • 🏆 Lisbon Westie Fest Invitational

  • More than 7h of social dancing!

5. ☀️ Sunday Afternoon – Pool Party & Awards

  • 🕡 18:20 – 20:20

  • 🎉 Games & surprises

  • 🏆 Awards Ceremony

  • 😄 Lots of laughs

6. 💙 Sunday Night – “See You Next Year” Party

  • 🕤 21:30 – 04:00

  • Just dancing, lounging, and sharing memories.

  • The chillest 6,5 hours of dancing of the weekend.

🎟 Party Drinks Info:

The hotel bar will be open during the parties until 00:00, and we’ll also have our private LWF bar available until 2:00. Light snacks and quick bites will also be available throughout the evening.

⚠️ IMPORTANT:

  • No drinks (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) or food are allowed on the dancefloor – help us protect the wooden floor and everyone’s dance experience.

  • It is strictly forbidden to bring alcoholic drinks from outside. Only beverages purchased at the hotel or event bars may be consumed during the parties.

💧 Water at the Event

We’ll have free water available at all parties – please bring your own bottle to help us reduce waste and care for the planet. 🌍💙

Food

🍳 Breakfast (Exclusive for Hotel Guests)

Breakfast is served daily from:

08:30 – 11:00

Since the hotel is exclusively booked for Lisbon Westie Fest, we’ve arranged two breakfast rooms to avoid long queues:

  • Main Restaurant

  • Breakfast room next to the Ballroom

Please follow the hotel staff’s instructions regarding which breakfast room to use so we can provide the best experience for everyone.

Hotel Restaurant (for those with meal reservations):

  • Lunch: 12:00 – 15:00

  • Dinner: 19:30 – 22:00

  • Saturday Dinner: 19:00 – 22:00

Other food options:

  • Hotel Bar (open 10:00–22:00) — snacks, pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, salads

  • Nearby options:

  • Local restaurants within walking distance: We highly recommend the restaurant at Residencial Miratejo – affordable and tasty local food. As an LWF participant, you’ll receive 10% off the entire menu (excluding the daily menu). Simply mention you’re attending Lisbon Westie Fest. Open all day until 23:30, except from 15:00 to 16:00 for cleaning. Please note: the restaurant is closed on Sunday.
